Quality Health Safety & Environment

Commitment to Safety and Well-being

At Alcon, safety is our utmost priority, and we implement comprehensive measures to ensure the well-being of our personnel. From the moment an individual joins us, they participate in mandatory safety seminars as part of their orientation. Regular safety drills are conducted to assess and enhance the readiness of all teams under diverse scenarios.

All factory and fabrication floor workers are provided with standard issue uniforms, including:

  • Safety Gloves
  • Hard Hats
  • Boots
  • Utility Vests
  • Safety Goggles
  • Face Masks
  • Earplugs

To maintain health standards, employees undergo annual physicals conducted by medical professionals, with reports shared with management. Additionally, an on-call physician is always available for emergencies. We assist our workers in securing the best health insurance plans, providing comprehensive guidance.

We prioritize a hazard-free environment by taking proactive measures to eliminate potential risks. Regular feedback from employees is collected and reviewed to implement necessary improvements. Some of the changes we have implemented include enhanced office and facility upgrades aimed at fostering a safe and productive workplace.

QHSE Commitment

''We are committed to maintaining the highest standards in Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) to ensure sustainable operations and the well-being of our stakeholders. Our QHSE policy reflects our dedication to excellence, safety, and environmental responsibility.''

Comprehensive Safety Measures and Facilities

At Alcon, we go beyond basic safety protocols to ensure the well-being and comfort of our personnel. Our facilities are equipped with:

  • Clean Bathrooms
  • Lockers
  • Parking
  • Lunches
  • Ample Sick Leave Quota
  • Medical Fund

On-site, all safety measures and equipment are consistently enforced and supplemented with additional provisions. As part of our safety regulations, every worker, mechanic, engineer, inspector, and visitor is equipped with proper gear. For high altitudes or challenging sections, harnesses are provided to prevent unforeseen accidents. Regular gear inspections are conducted at the start and end of each shift, ensuring any damaged or substandard item is replaced immediately.

In the event of an accident, on-site company vehicles remain on standby, and for particularly challenging jobs, we facilitate ambulance services and first aid. All supervisors are trained in first aid and injury prevention, ensuring immediate and professional responses when necessary.

These measures prioritize our workers' peace of mind while ensuring clients avoid legal liabilities, fostering a safe and secure working environment.
